Good advice for the property viewing itself

House viewings, what agents wish buyers would ask.

Read recent Irish Times Article on How to View a Property here ( I’ve down a slow video scroll through of it.)

The physical viewing of a property can be a “jumpy” experience. Our antennae might be out for potential rival bidders among the other viewers . We might also be trying to make a “good” impression the selling agent by asking smart questions , showing how knowledgeable we are or generally ingratiating ourselves with them.

This can all lead to us being so distracted by the interpersonal aspect of the viewing that we don’t actually settle down to take a good look at the house.

In this recent ( 19th May 2023) article, Joanne Hunt, a journalist I have a lot of time for in The Irish Times, wrote an article with some advice for buyers as they physically view the property. I am featured in this article along with some selling agents who have great suggestions for viewers.
